     Chris Thomas Studio is a welcoming space where you can grow your skills, gain confidence, and enjoy the creative process whether you’re brand new to art or experienced.

 

 

What Is the Class Like?

 

This is a studio-style class where students work on individual projects. I move through the room offering personal instruction, demonstrations when needed, and help at each stage.

 

 

Who These Classes Are For

 

These classes are designed primarily for adults.

 

I do not teach children. However, a motivated teenager who can work independently in an adult class setting may be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you’d like to ask about this, feel free to contact me.

 

 

Can I Start as a Beginner?

 

Absolutely. You don’t need experience to start here.

 

If you’re new to art, I’ll help you choose a project that fits your level and walk you through it. I’ll check in with you throughout class with tips, demonstrations when needed, and practical instruction that helps you build confidence without feeling overwhelmed.

 

 

What Will I Paint or Draw?

 

That part is completely up to you.

 

You can bring a photo reference that inspires you (printed or on your phone, tablet, or laptop). Many students choose subjects from personal photos, travel images, still life inspiration, or something meaningful.

 

You’re also welcome to bring in a few objects from home, and I will help you arrange a simple still life setup and guide you through the process.

 

If you’re still unsure, I’ll help you choose a strong subject and turn it into a piece you’ll feel proud of.

 

 

What Medium Do You Teach?

 

Whether you enjoy drawing (charcoal, graphite, colored pencil) or painting (acrylic, oils, watercolor), you’ll have the freedom to explore the medium you love most.

 

 

Class Times and Days:

   Tuesdays:

Morning Class: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Afternoon Class: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Evening Class (2 hours): 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (If you would like to arrive a little earlier than 5:30, just contact me.)

   Wednesdays:

Evening Class only: I get there at 4:00pm so you can come anytime between 4:00 to 7:30pm. Take a 2hr or 3hr class...Your choice.

Tuition

 

3-Hour Classes: $159/month (4 classes)

2-Hour Evening Class: $106/month (4 classes)
